My name is Jenna, and I’m an artist and curator. My friends often describe my work as whimsical, throughout all my work I aim to capture and highlight the intricate and dreamlike worlds of women and the emotions and entanglements of love.
Bio: Jenna Wilson is an emerging artist and curator who was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. She holds a degree in Studio Arts and Art History from Concordia University, where she specialized in the study of queer and feminist history. Her paintings delve into the realms of female intimacy and folklore, drawing on these rich histories and stories as a source of inspiration. Her works have been exhibited in galleries, exhibitions, and publications in Toronto and Montréal. Additionally, she has curated two exhibitions and established her own workshop series, “Your Grandma’s Club”, in 2024. Within these workshops, which attract up to 70 regulars, she shares and teaches textile practices based in female, indigenous, and LGTBQ+ knowledge transmission. By fostering a sense of community, she nurtures the sharing of these community practises.

Jenna Wilson est une artiste émergente et une commissaire d’exposition originaire de Toronto, au Canada. Elle détient un diplôme en arts plastiques et en histoire de l’art de l’Université Concordia. Elle s’est spécialisée dans l’étude de l’histoire queer et féministe. Ses tableaux s’aventurent dans les profondeurs de l’intimité féminine et du folklore, puisant son inspiration dans ces riches récits et légendes. Ses œuvres ont été exposées dans des galeries et dans des publications à Toronto et à Montréal. De plus, elle a orchestré deux expositions et lancé sa propre série d’ateliers, « Your Grandma’s Club », en 2024. Lors de ces ateliers, qui attirent jusqu’à 70 participantes régulières, elle partage et enseigne des techniques textiles inspirées de la transmission des connaissances féminines, autochtones et LGBTQ+.
